So I gather all the children together, along with all the Thomas toys we own, make up some snacks and let them at it! Simple and effective 🙂

After a snack the children get on to the serious business of playing and building relationships:

Whilst he does this the older girls take one younger one each and do some tray activities:

Even B1 gets in on the action (We went a bit over board on B1 photos especially for Granny.)

After doing their trays they join T10 on the floor for some train play:

Whilst everyone is happily playing I make our muffin tin meal (pop over to Michelle’s wonderful blog for more muffin tin meal ideas: http://michellesjournalcorner.blogspot.co.uk/). We use Heinz Thomas Tank Engine pasta shapes in tomato sauce and some Thomas shaped crisps. I cut some cheese slices into a train shape (to place on the pasta if desired). I also make up a fruit salad train with whatever I have on hand. The last touch is some homemade banana muffins with cinnamon icing with a Thomas edible label stuck on them. Not very imaginative, but the best I can do on a Friday afternoon!

After lunch, they all relax in front of a Thomas DVD, blowing their Thomas whistles at the TV screen!
Haha I love that pic of your son grinning with his eyes closed! My daughter does that too 🙂 Ohh those muffin tray meals look delicious – simple (ish – if I ignore all the lovely cutting out of train shapes!) yet yummy xx
Thank Jade! We love muffin tin meals in this house!
Ummm…this is seriously cool!! We LOVE Thomas and while we use some of the Thomas games for school I never thought about having a Thomas day. What a great idea!! thanks for sharing!!
It’s my pleasure, thanks for visiting!
What an adorable lunch! I love all the trains!
Thank you!
All of your children are precious, but that wee blonde is such a cutie pie!
She really is, and can wind me round her little finger…..
I love the idea of everyone playing together, no matter their age. They look like they are having such fun!
It’s only for one day a week, so they do enjoy it-I’m not sure if they would enjoy it every day!
