Dress up

I had them dress up after giving them an invite to a teddy bears picnic.  Oh, the fun!

Trays

I was able to reuse activities we had used during previous rows.  It was interesting to see how far B2 had come since before Christmas.

Games or group activities

The older girls put together a toy shop for A4 and B2 to buy toys from:

Special A4 and Mummy activity

Over the last week or so I had gathered bits and pieces for a small needlework basket.  I knew that this would greatly excite A4, given that she always wants to be like her older sisters, both of whom enjoy sewing:

Into the basket I put scissors, scraps of material, ribbon, needles, iron on patches, buttons and decoration

We had bought a bear from a charity shop for 40p, which whilst not exactly like corduroy, was close enough.  Especially if one was to add green overalls.  And this was my plan.  I had just enough green felt to cut a pair of overalls out.  I cut tiny holes around the seams to make it simple for A4 to sew them together.  I added a couple of buttons and we were away!

Special B1 and Mummy activity

I cut a bear out of black foam and then a set of green overalls from felt.  I added a couple of buttons and some foam bits for a face in a contrasting colour and we had us an activity!

B2 so enjoyed this. I had planned on having her stick everything down, but she enjoyed the whole undressing and putting the clothes back on the bear, I left it at that.

  1. Wow, I remember those books and the cute bear overalls! The littles look so cute in them! The dressing-the-bear activities are perfect for their respective ages, and the cooking activities are always a joy for children to participate in. What a fantastic study!

  2. Beautiful to see such happiness and smiles all around! I particularly like the pic of your little one with her new sewing basket! Such JOY! I don’t like wearing shoes either… and my little man has inherited that… I don’t know why I bother with shoes… 😉 Although I think we can get away with it more here in South Africa than in the UK!

  3. Great job A4. Your teddy bear looks amazing. When you going to start making clothes for me? Glad to see such smiley faces.

  4. Hi Supermom

Love the dirty socks 😉 my two are 1 and the other one is 2 your activities are such a inspiration to me! We live here in Africa, Mocambique, Beira not much to do but with all the fun ideas you share there is plenty for us to do! Bless!

  5. Everything is so fun at your house! 🙂 I love the Corduroy theme – one of my favorites!
Tasty fun muffin tin too, as always. Thank you for linking up with Muffin Tin Monday. I love to see what you are up to!
