I ran into Gary who was sitting in the bathroom, bathing our littles. So excited was I the words would hardly come out coherently. But my excitement said it all. Children flocked from far away lands (the living room), just to hear my news. They watched in anticipation as I jumped up and down on the spot.
“My blog has earnt some money!” I screamed at anyone who was listening, as well as a few in nearby villages, who didn’t really want to listen. More jumping up and down.
Gary’s face lit up with pride, as I knew it would. The children were squealing with delight, even the ones in the bath who didn’t really have a clue what was going on.
“How much Mummy?” I was thrown similar questions from all directions.
I was so excited I almost couldn’t compose myself as I spluttered, “32 pennies!” I cheered, pummeling at the air, completely and utterly impressed with myself. Gary cheered with me. He understood. The children stopped, bemused. They didn’t.
I bunny jumped out of the bathroom and down the hall, occasionally declaring to myself how clever I was.
I’m upwardly mobile for the first time in 13 years. And it feels great.
“So dinner’s on you tonight?” Gary’s hopeful words floated down the hallway after me.
Mmmm, carrot anyone? I could probably stretch to two…..
Congratulations! It’s a good start. 🙂
