Homeschool Wobbly Moments
I don't know about you, but I rarely have homeschool wobbly moments. I have wanted to homeschool since I was pregnant with Thomas. It was God-lead and in general I have felt very at peace. In fact, I would go further than that and say it has been the biggest and best decision we have…
A Letter from a Frustrated Teenager
To whomever this may concern, My name is Charlotte and I am a 15 year old girl, struggling to find a place where I may play my part in the war against slavery, especially slavery involving teens and children. I have looked into several charities and all have an age restriction of 18. Whilst I…
Wintery Precious Moments {February Week Three}
I can't believe I'm going to start yet another post with another infection, but I am 🙁 My littlest came down with a tummy infection, which I believe is just an extension of the cold/flu bug we can't seem to shift. She spent the day vomiting phlegm, with a really high temperature. It started early…

When you wonder where on earth your daughter has come from…..
Setting scene: Half-term for the Angelicscalliwags school. Everyone up late, no-one dressed, everyone ploughing away at the chores. Me filling LETL forms for Lillie's photography. Six year old rushes up to me: B6: Mummy, can we do some work today, y'know, inside, outside, cleaning....? Me: Yes, I was planning on getting some housework done today.…
Wintery Seasons of Joy {February Week Two}
Welcome to my weekly Seasons of Joy post. Thank you to everyone who sent me a message or email and shared what you are doing to make your seasons joyful. I love what you all shared! It's giving me lots and lots to think about for future joyful-projects 🙂 It's been a quiet week, really,…
Wintery Precious Moments (Week Two)
Follow my blog with Bloglovin Hellooooo...this is just a quick post this week, recapping the very few moments I had the opportunity to capture on film. Unfortunately, A9 seems to have gone down again with this infection, despite ensuring lots of fresh fruit and veg and fresh air. Lillie informed me a couple of minutes…
A Huge Hygge Hug
I am enjoying my foray into Hygge-ism. For those of you who don’t know, Hygge is pronounced in much the same way as we say sugar (hoogar) with a hole in your mouth which you can fit your little finger into. I keep repeating to myself. There is a simple comfort in the word. I…
Through the Lens: One Moment in Time {06/02/2018}
It takes a village to raise a child….
Saturday night, I had one distraught teen. She cried and cried until she could cry no longer. It was all to do with matters of the heart, and as we all know, they sometimes don't quite go the way we would wish. As I took her in my arms, I told her how precious she…
Wintery Seasons of Joy: February Week One
Welcome to the first February Seasons of Joy! This is my most favourite post to create, especially when I've had a productive week and have lots to write about (like this week!). The first thing I have to share is something which touched me so much. My mother-in-law (who really is like a second mum…
Wintery Precious Moments (February: Week One)
This week has once again been smattered with illness. Sigh. But we are on the case! We are saying no to germs and yes to more vegetables, more fruit, more rest, and less screens.....and, yes, less work and less pressure! So there. Okay, rant over. We are all growing very tired of one or other…
Murmerings and Mumblings
Yesterday I took the day off. I had a really sore mouth and throat, and whilst theoretically I could have worked, I chose not to. Instead, I stayed in bed and spent the day crafting for next Christmas. We have had this infection (sore mouth, sore jaw, sore throat and in Lillie's case sore ears)…
