Welcome to week 12 of our one year pond study. For the rest of the posts in this series please see here.
I took the children up to the pond one evening and it was so quiet and peaceful apart from the geese who stole away the show with their chatting and antics. Here is the story of our pond this week, captured in the peace of the sun setting:

Seconds later, in the midst of some very noisy honking, they flew up to a nearby tree to roost.
We’ll definitely be going again at night-time, maybe even a little later. Everything was so harmonious and at peace. It was very relaxing.
What a lovely way to spend an evening!
It really was. I came home a new woman!!
Beautiful! I can’t get over how light it is at night in the Northern Hemisphere! It looks like daylight! And I LOVE the profile pic! SO lovely – I can see your twin girlies take after their Mom! x
The lighting is phenomenal if it has been a sunny day. It changes how everything looks and the photos are so pretty. I’m going again at night! (and again, and again….)
That’s on my to do list go see our park at night. I love the story told by the duck, that didn’t sound quite right…..
The goose was only a foot or so away, it really was magnificent!
What beautiful pictures and such a great way to spend an evening. Thanks for sharing with Country Kids.
Thanks Fiona, and it was my pleasure.
The light looks gorgeous – perfect for the Canada Goose to perform his show 🙂 I love the way the water looks so glassy in the evening. Beautiful!
I agree, the lighting is amazing at night time!
What really great shots. I bet going at night time was a bit of an adventure.
Thank you for sharing with the Spring Carnival.
