If any of my readers are in the UK, you’ll know that we are deep into exam season at the moment. My two youngest are studying towards qualifications. Abigail is taking psychology and sociology GCSE and Becs is finishing up her Level One Diplomas in Textiles (finished already), Mixed Media and Photography.
In this exam season, I am drowning in flashcards, marking past papers and figuring out how my kinaesthetic learner learns. Abs’ first exam is next Thursday and Friday with one the week after and the last the week after that.
I’ve been grateful to have taken April off from everything online so that I could focus on my girls. Just a few more weeks and exams will all be over for the summer!
A Video with Nothing to do with Exam Season!
I’ve made a quick video chatting about a few goals I have for the rest of spring…namely finishing the bathroom I’ve been decorating for the past year! I’ve never felt more grateful to have such a patient husband! In this video, you’ll see me making four different versions of my woodland card: a homeschool one, a Christian one, a new home and a chronic illness card.

The next few weeks will be spent pushing myself to not just support my daughter but also to paint the last two walls of the bathroom! Literally, that’s all I need to do to get it finished…come on Claire, get to it!!
Becca’s Art
Just before I go, I must just show you Becca’s latest drawing. This one is Billie Eilish:

She’s entirely self-taught and is almost always really unhappy with her results! I’ve worked really hard with her to try to decrease her perfectionism and increase her enjoyment. I’m not sure I’ve been that successful but I think she understands the perfectionist side of her a bit better and tries not to feed it too much. Of course, the flip side that very perfectionism is probably what helps her improve.
