Tonight, as a family, we all went up to London to support Lillie as she exhibited some of her art in the University of London’s ‘Traces: Compassion on London’s Buses’. This is Lillie’s second art exhibition this year. The first can be found here. I took a boat load of photos, not always good ones because it was crowded and I struggled to get photos without other people in them. I did my best!

The Stewart Family En Masse to Lillie’s Second Art Exhibition
It’s times like this I realise just how large our family is! Poor Gary had been up since 430am this morning. We had decided to drive up to London. Sat nav said it would take 1hour 40 mins, five minutes less than if we took the train and underground. So we set off at 3pm thinking it was super early and we would easily get there before 6, when the exhibition started. We were going to eat and then head over to the exhibition. Three hours later we were still in the car…and those who took the train (Charlotte, Ads and Thomas) got there before us!

The Exhibition
The exhibition was all about compassion on London Buses. This was right up Lillie’s street as she had done a project about disability and giving up seats on London transport. She was asked for two pieces of work which I have included below:

Other Art Exhibited
The whole point of much of Lillie’s work is to communicate something. Wanting to work eventually as an art therapist, communication through art is incredibly important to Lillie. And her art reflects this.
It was fascinating to see each of the artist’s own take on the ‘compassion’ brief. Here is some of the rest of the work that was exhibited:

Last but not least, here are the rest of the photos in no particular order:

I’m so proud of my girl and incredibly excited about her future ❤️
