Medieval Re-enactments – This was such a great day out with some excellent educational photos including jousting, armour, food and drink, archery and even throwing stuff at Gary whilst he was trapped in the stocks.
Castles Lesson – This was a lovely mix of visiting castles, mixing with historians, reading lots of lovely books and building our own castle from PlayMobil.
Knights Lesson – A thorough lesson digging deep into knights, heraldry, receiving a knighthood and designing our own coat of arms. With many, many resources.
Domesday Book Lesson – In this short lesson, we read all about the Domesday Book first. Next, we created a PlayMobil estate on our enormous paper mache map. Lastly, we made our own homemade Domesday Book.
Maths at the Manor – We took a quick detour from our history lessons to do a little bit of maths using the Domesday book and our model estate.
Robin Hood Lesson –
