First up was some simple Mr Men puppets and Little Misses puppets.
Abigail, in particular, loves playing with puppets and telling her own story with them. So today we sat down and made some special Mr Men themed ones.
Required Items for Making Simple Mr Men Puppets
- Foam sheets in lots of bright colours
- Lolly sticks
- Black marker pen
- Glue or double-sided sticky tape
I had a heap of foam in a drawer and I always have lolly sticks on hand. After all, one never knows when one might need a lolly stick or twenty! This meant that for A4 and I this toy was made for free. Firstly, all you need to do is cut out the Mr Men and Little Misses shapes from the foam. Next, I draw them first with the marker. Then, I also draw and cut out any shapes like hair, hats or, in the case of Mr Bump, bandages. Lastly, I draw on any features and lastly I stick a lolly-stick on the back of the figures:

Here are a few of the characters I cut out and assembled before I stuck the stick on:

Abs and I stuck each one to a lolly stick and stored them in a box for quiet time the next day:
