This video shows you how to make your own non-allergenic face cream which only has three main ingredients. Best of all, it can easily be made from home! I am SO allergic to anything skin-wise.
From laundry soap to washing up liquid and from make-up to any face care products…I’m even super allergic to one of the flu virus’. I mean, I didn’t even know one could be allergic to a virus, but the all over extremely itchy full body rash I got last Christmas tells a different story!
Whilst the rash should be enough of a deterrent, it is the streaming eyes which really bother me. My skin has gone 50 years without any moisturiser.
A year or so ago I made some lip balm from beeswax, coconut oil and vitamin E oil with a few drops of cherry blossom essential oil. I liked it so much I tried it on my face. There was no rash and my eyes did not run, even if I rubbed some in close to them. I was blown away!
From a Lip Balm to a Face Cream
So I played around with the ingredients. I wanted to use the same ones but in a slightly different ratio. The lip balm sets quite hard, so I wanted to try to make a cream that was slightly softer. This recipe is almost identical, I just reduced the beeswax so it didn’t harden so, well, hard.
The resulting cream is soft and makes my skin feel incredible. Just as a note though, it doesn’t feel like shop bought cream. It is a little oilier. For my skin, which has not been moisturised for forever, and practically eats up any oil, this is not a problem.
I hope you enjoy it as much as I do. Here’s a video to demonstrate how I made my own non-allergenic face cream:
