Exercise is a great appetite suppressant, did you know that?! I don’t think I did, but I do now. I had a great productive day, attended Jess’ (Thomas’ girlfriend) display at her art university, which was excellent, and finished the day off by swimming 46 lengths and spending some time in the sauna and the steam room.
Swimming
Compared to almost all other exercise, I find swimming comparatively easy. What I mean by this is that I can swim many (46 in fact) lengths and don’t need to take a break and am barely out of breath. When you compare this to the trembling mess that is Claire after just one and a half minutes on the running machine, it is unarguably easy. I was beginning to get concerned that the swimming wasn’t really doing much.
Today I swam for almost an hour. I love it so much. I came home, had a bath and watched an episode of some police/speeding thing Gary likes. Forty minutes later, we were ready for sleep. I stood up. I swear I could hear my bones creaking. And if not creaking then certainly moaning. I nodded to myself in a self-satisfied kind of way. Yup, this swimming is definitely doing something. As I sit here typing this, just before tucking down, every bone in my body aches. It is such a joyful feeling! I worked my body so hard, I hurt. I mean it took almost an hour, and I probably could have got the same results from running for ninety seconds, but hey ho, I like swimming waaaaaaay more than I like running (which I don’t….ever)
46 lengths. Add that to the 36 I did yesterday…82 lengths. You go girl!!
And I did not snack, not even a little bit. I am on FIRE right now!!!
How are you all doing?
