It was meant to be my weigh in day today. I knew the batteries in the scales were running low so bought a pack on Monday when I was shopping in Tescos. I put them to one side to change the ones in the scales. Only, when I actually got to them, there was just the packet left sitting on the dresser! Where on earth were the batteries?! It turns out, the little ones used two for the tv controls and then Lil stole the remaining two to power her fairy lights! Is nothing sacred in this house?!
So, long story short, I have no idea what my weight is or if it’s heading up or down… There is a set of scales at the health club but I didn’t have the courage to use them. I’m going to buy some batteries tomorrow and I’ll weigh myself on Saturday morning.
Master’s
The rest of the day went well. I am seriously into my assignment for my master’s, to the detriment of everything else. I so enjoy studying and I love watching an essay come together. Not that mine has yet, but I’m more hopeful of it doing so in the next few weeks than I was a week or so ago!
Taxi
I also spent much time in the car today ferrying my mum up and back from a lunch date she had with some old friends. On the way up we witnessed an accident as a lady pulled out of her drive very quickly and bashed straight into an oncoming car. I felt so sorry for all the parties involved because no-one wants to have an accident this close to Christmas 😞
Foodwise today, I didn’t do too badly, although I did have a bath bun bought for me by my younger daughters. Apart from that I did really well. Gary and I spent over an hour at the health club. He went to the gym whilst I swam. I managed 40 lengths this time and then we both spent time in the steam room before heading back home. Happy sigh. I love swimming.
How have you all done today? (by the way, I am loving hearing all about your days so thank you so much for sharing and keeping me accountable – you are the best!!)
