This printable passport is perfect for my Mesopotamia Unit study, although it can be used for all history/cultural Unit studies. The play passport has many pages and comes complete with multiple stamps, from different ancient civilisations.
Do check out my MEGA Mesopotamia Unit Study post to find out just where Proto-cuneiform fit into the history of Mesopotamia. This huge post has lots of printable, videos, science experiments and, as always, stacks of suggestions for easy hands on activities you can do with your children! I am always adding new stuff to this post so do go and check it out.
How do I use the Printable Passport?
Putting it Together

Firstly, you need to print the cover of the passport on some card. Print one copy for each child and write their name on the line in the yellow rectangle.

Secondly, print out the other sheets onto normal paper. You’ll need to decide whether to do single sided prints and stick each double spread to another. Or, if you choose to do double sided prints…just make sure they are all printed the right way up! Staple them all together in order. The blue card cover needs to be on the outside and the personal details sheet next, then all the others last.
Filling It Out

Your child will need a photo of themself, which needs to be glued into the white box. Add their first name, surname and date of birth. Lastly, have your child sign the passport. The map can be used as a visual tool to show your child where you are ‘travelling’ to in your unit study. Or, it can be coloured in as you ‘visit’ each country so show how much ‘travelling’ they have done!

Each time you study a country or a culture, place the corresponding stamp in the white rectangular box above, add the date and any notes about how you ‘travelled’ (ie by sea, by plane, by foot (!), by car).

As you can see, I’ve made stamps for all the unit studies we’ve covered in ancient times. Just in case you need stamps for other countries, I also created some blank ones that you can add the country of your choice.
Enjoy!
