As part of my Mesopotamia Unit Study, I have made some fun extras to help get your children in the mood such as some Mesopotamia tickets and luggage labels. I have also made some passports and luggage stickers which I will share in another post in the future. These are all great additions to your Mesopotamia Adventure Box
Mesopotamia Airline Tickets

I’ve made two tickets. One is for the outward journey and one for the return, issued from the Sumerian Airlines, Flight Number A1-1234 and A1-1234R. They are partially customisable. By this, I mean you can add the name of your child, as well as boarding time and arrival time. The tickets can be torn so that the child keeps their own ticket stub. This can be a nice addition to their presentation board for the end of unit presentations.
I have also included a couple of boarding passes, one for the outward journey and one for the return. These can again be torn much like the ticket. These types of physical keepsakes can add another exciting dimension to your child’s learning, and help their presentation boards look spectacular!

Mesopotamia Luggage Labels

As you will see, an old suit case is a perfect vessel to use an adventure box. You can pop all the materials, dress up, activities and books inside before the unit begins. This will help to build excitement for the six weeks to come. In this vein, I created some luggage labels to tie onto the handle of the suitcase:

It is my hope that these Mesopotamia ticket and luggage tags will help make your Mesopotamia unit study a little more exciting for your children. Next week I will be sharing a printable passport and stamps. These can be used again and again in your history unit studies as you travel and learn about the different countries and cultures.

These are JPEG images. To print them out, you’ll need to copy and paste each image into a word document. Edit them to the size you want them to be. Print them onto card to give them slightly more sturdiness than paper.
