A Day in the Life of a Home-Schooling Family: Day 121

Exams are nearly upon us and I am finding I have less and less time to capture and write about our home-school days. So I am quickly writing this before we start school today, about yesterday.

There’s not much to post as the littles were out for the day at their best friend’s birthday party, so all they did was their workbook home-school.

Thomas was at college all day, Lillie was doing maths and location photography, whilst Charlotte was doing the same revising she has been doing for forever.

As you can see, nothing much happened yesterday. Charlotte is struggling with concentration at the moment and that is reflecting in her past paper results. Bless her heart, she has completed one of the hardest GCSEs (Latin) over three months rather than two years, and having just recovered from a pretty nasty year long illness. She couldn’t have worked harder. She so deserves to pass! I am praying for a good paper for her, for because I’m not sure passing is a foregone conclusion.

Charlotte is in a good place mentally, as far as these exams go. She knows she could not have worked any harder or any smarter. She will be going into her exams knowing that she could not have done any more to prepare for them in the time frame she had. Charlotte has left the results in God’s hands, believing if it is meant to be it will, and if not, then God has bigger and better plans for her.

I am so proud of her. She deserves this.

We are all rooting for her. Four more days…

  1. We’ll be rooting for her too but I do love her attitude! I used to worry myself sick over tests and exams at school…
