Hehe I love A’s answers, especially that she will get back to you about what more autonomy would look like – sensible girl, consider your options!
Hi Clare. I hope you and the kids are enjoying this glorious sunshine. I find homeschool comes in to its own in the summer! Anyway I was just wondering if you could offer some advice as to what maths curriculum you would recommend. My girls 8 and 6 have done Singapore Maths no problem but it doesnt really suit us. Any suggestions gratefully recieved! I hope your husbandhas fully recovered now. Have alovely evening. Carla x
Hi Carla,
I’m not sure if you are in the UK or USA (or anywhere else in the world!) We use Conquer Maths which has worked well for all my children:

I think it is similar to teaching textbooks in the US – short video teaching sections with a few problems then move on to a slightly more advanced teaching session and so on. It is spiral in nature and seems to suit most learning styles. My 7 year old (and all the older ones) use it completely independently, I have to help my five year old. HTH!
Apologies for taking so long to answer 🙂
Very sweet and funny. She’s a keeper. 😉
Aw i love the end!! So cute! thank you for sharing
