Plans for the Next Three Weeks

As we haven’t done full homeschool over the past couple of weeks due to Gary being home, I have taken the executive decision to begin a new three week term on Monday.  This might very well mess up my entire year but c’est la vie…

T14’s Goals

  • Personal devotions each day (830-9)
  • Complete fifteen lessons of maths (9-945)
  • Morning meeting goals (see here) (945-1045)
  • Chemistry – complete lessons 6, 7, 8 and 9 (thus completing Section 1- Principles of Chemistry) (1045-1145)
  • Religious Studies GCSE (see here) (1145-1230)
  • Lunch/walk (1230-2pm)
  • Investigative Chemistry (2pm-3pm) (Monday/Wednesday) or Psychology (Friday)
  • Computer Based Revision: Complete Section One – Principles of Chemistry (3-330pm) (Monday/Wednesday) and Religious Studies – Christianity (330-4pm) (Monday/Wednesday)
  • Tuesday and Thursday afternoons (Gardening Job)
  • Free or Dinner prep (Mon)

L13’s Goals

  • Personal Devotions each day (830-9)
  • Maths (9-945)
  • Morning meeting goals (see here) (945-1045)
  • Art – Complete three Spring Mixed Media lessons (Rainy day, Dragonfly block, Water-colour tulips); Complete three more Artist Studies (choose from Durer, Cassett, Homer and Constable) (1045-1145)
  • Religious Studies GCSE (see here) (1145-1230)
  • Lunch/ Walk (1230-2pm)
  • African Jewellery Project (finish during next three weeks and organise African jewellery party) (2pm – 3pm)
  • Complete three more still-art lessons with Mummy (leaf, salt shaker and candle)(3-330)
  • Computer based revision – Religious Studies – Christianity (330-4pm)
  • Free or Dinner Prep (Tues)

C13’s Goals

  • Personal Devotions each day (830-9)
  • Maths (9-945)
  • Morning meeting goals (see here) (945-1045)
  • Music – half an hour piano practice, practice grade three singing exam songs   (1045-1145)
  • Religious Studies GCSE (see here) (1145-1230)
  • Lunch/ Walk (1230-2pm)
  • Writing – Here to Help Learning (Flight Three: Lessons 12,13,14)                                                     African Literature and Music – Complete project in readiness for presentation on same day as L’s jewellery party (2pm-3pm)
  • Practice Bongos for half an hour each day.  Try to finish Volume two of the bongo videos (3-330pm)
  • Computer based revision – Religious Studies – Christianity (330-4pm)
  • Free or Dinner prep (Sat)

A7’s Goals

  • Personal Devotions each day (830-9)
  • Granny’s – Reading (Enid Blyton- The Wishing Chair), Writing (Essentials in Writing Lessons 13,14 and 15), Read Aloud (Charlotte’s Web) (9-10)
  • Morning Meeting (see here) (10-1045)
  • Littles’ Morning meeting (Story of the World) (1045-11)
  • School with Mummy (Introduction to Science (Meteorology, Geology)(daily), Magnetic Science (twice a week), Rain Forest Journey (Amphibians and Reptiles) (twice a week) and hands-on magnetics (once a week) (11-1130)
  • Independent work  (Maths (daily), Spelling (daily), Copywork from Rain Forest Journey) (1130-12)
  • Veritas Press Bible Course (12-1230)
  • Lunch/ Walk (1230-2pm)
  • Project Work (Dinosaurs 2 x week), (South America 2 x week), (Story  of the World activities 1 x week) (2-3pm)
  • Screen time if all work finished- nature video or video linked with work (3-330pm)

B5’s Goals

  • Look through picture Bible/ Bible colouring in sheets
  • School with Mummy (Max Scholar phonics, Reading, Maths (daily), Rain Forest Journey (2x per week) (9-945am)
  • Morning Meeting (see here) (945-1045)
  • Littles’ morning meeting (Story of the World) (1045-11)
  • School with Granny (Phonics, writing, colouring and read aloud) (11-noon)
  • Finish off any copywork then watch Veritas Press Bible (12-1230)
  • Lunch/walk
  • Project Work (Dinosaurs 2 x week), (South America 2 x week), (Story  of the World activities 1 x week) (2-3pm)
  • Outside play (3-330pm)
  • Screen time if all work is finished (wild life video or video linked to work) (330-4pm)

Claire’s Goals

  • School with B5 (9-945)
  • Morning meeting (945-1045)
  • Littles’ morning meeting (1045-11)
  • School with A7 (11-1130)
  • Oversee A7’s maths and prep salad for lunch (1130-1145))
  • GCSE Religious Studies (1145-1230)
  • Lunch/ Walk (1230-2)
  • Project Work with A and B (2-3pm)
  • Drawing with Realism with L13 (3-330pm)
  • Free (330-4pm)
  • Dinner prep (one-2-one with a child)

  1. The beauty of homeschooling is just this . . . the ability to make changes when life tosses out curve balls, like a surgery in the family. Enjoy this beauty!

    1. I’m not really THAT organised. I just really like to have a framework to work from, simply because we all seem to achieve so much more that way 🙂
