Visiting Old Friends

Yesterday we spent the day with old friends who we haven’t seen for about four years. They are some of my favourite people in the world.

They moved to a small holding with their many children after years of praying and planning. It was so wonderful to be shown around her new home and so exciting to here all their up coming projects for the place.

My younger girls played all afternoon with their six younger children (they have ten altogether!) whilst the adults caught up on everything that has been going on in our lives over the past few years. It was like we’d never been apart!

Our children grew up together. I’ve known her since I was pregnant with Becca. In fact, we were pregnant around the same time. Over the years we’ve shared both good and tricky times together. They have always been a source of constant love and support and I am so happy all their dreams are coming true.

One of the things I particularly enjoy is their incredible hospitality. The food they’re provide is some of the best I’ve ever tasted and this time was no different. They made the most wonderful beef in red wine sauce pie with mini roasts, sweet potatoes, parsnips, carrots and broccoli. Oh. My. Goodness. It was amazing. I went back for seconds and would have gone back for thirds if I could possibly have fitted anymore in my tummy. But alas, there was absolutely no more room!

Just thinking about it now is making my mouth water! 💦

Thank you so much lovely friends, we had such a wonderful time catching up with you all.

Look forward to seeing you soon! 😘
